Pennsylvania Police Departments just recently started carrying a controversial drug with them on the job. Narcan, a drug that is used to help individuals who overdosed on heroin, has been given to officers to administer to anyone who has overdosed in hopes of saving their life.
Now high schools are being given the drug in order to give to students. Has it become the responsibility of schools and police to save peoples lives when they overdoes? We would love to hear your thoughts.
Does this now present a liability of schools and officers? Narcan has saved many lives but it does not save them all. There are many factors that may contribute to the drug working or not.
