Remains Of 4 Dead Dogs Found In Shallow Creek In Butler County

CLEARFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are investigating after a father and his young son made the gruesome discovery of the remains of four dead dogs just off of the side of a local road near the Butler County-Armstrong County border.

Clearfield Township resident Nick Curzi was out with his 6-year-old son, walking along McGrady-Hollow Road, looking for tin cans.

Curszi said they spotted the remains of what they first thought was one dog near a drainpipe that empties into a shallow creek.

Further investigation revealed the remains of four dogs near the drainpipe. At least one showed signs of being shot in the head.

“It was no accident,” Curzi said. “Those dogs, I think, were definitely dumped down there by someone.”
