Two People Injured In Shooting Outside Homewood Laundromat

HOMEWOOD (KDKA)- Pittsburgh Police are looking into a shooting overnight outside of a laundromat in Homewood.

The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, in the 7100-block of Frankstown Avenue.

Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler said police were alerted to the shooting by the ShotSpotter technology in Homewood.

When officers arrived, they saw a man running away from the scene. Officers gave chase, but didn’t catch him.

Officers found two victims at the scene, which was in the parking lot of the Frankstown Laundromat.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the arm while walking to his car and was last listed in stable condition. A 21-year-old man from Penn Hills was shot in the abdomen and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
