PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — McDonald’s used the Super Bowl to kick off its “Pay With Lovin'” campaign.
At the McDonald’s on West Liberty Avenue, random customers paid their orders with simple acts of love.
“It could be anything from a smile to a high five,” says regional marketing manager Amy Schillinger. “We’ve had people today get out their cell phones, make a call to their mom or their dad, and just tell how much they love them.”

“Two double quarter-pounders, cheese, without ketchup,” Robert Hause orders. Then he gets a big surprise.
“Congratulations,” says McDonald’s manager Katie Rugola. “You have been selected to Pay With Lovin’ today. All you have to do is give me a smile and a high five.”
Katie says giving really is better than receiving.
